God and the Man (Deus e o Homem)

God and the man
A man visits God and says "God, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?"
God says "No, ask me anything at all."
So the man says "God, you've been around for a very long time, so, for you, how long is a thousand years?"
God replies "For me, a thousand years is only five minutes."
The man then says "That's interesting God. And, for you, how much is a million dollars?"
God replies "For me, a million dollars is only five cents."
The man says "Really? Well then God, could you lend me five cents please?"
God looks at the man, smiles, and says "Of course my son. Just wait five minutes!"

Deus eo homem

Deus diz: "Não, pode me perguntar."
Deus responde "Para mim, mil anos é  cinco minutos."
Bem, então Deus, você poderia me emprestar cinco centavos por favor?"
Deus olha para o homem, sorri e diz: "É claro  meu filho. Espere cinco minutos!"

Eveline- James Joyce

The short story Eveline, with approximately five pages, is built on a narrative program base very common to literary tradition and also present in oral narratives: space and the disjunction familiar subject modeled by a want-away. In this case, a subject, Eveline, a young nineteen years, lost her mother, yearns to escape the house with Frank, a sailor who was from Dublin. The desire to escape, mainly motivated by love, is explored in a sufficient reason literature. Often, the trail leads to a breakdown of passion, which gives rise to feeling tense and conflicting. For Eveline, the duality of feelings is very clear: when you think you will in conjunction with other values, which are new compared to what she grows at home, the young animase. But when you think you have to go into disjunction of family values, she gives up again his life, because it has no power to make this change. Evvy - Frank shouted to realize Eveline who gave up the trip - it seemed at first not only for modalized want to do-but mainly due to the. This is what we see, for example, early in the narrative, when, amid the accounts of the past of the character, the narrator suddenly includes a sentence in the present tense: "Everything changes" ("Everything Changes"). This statement assumes a truth value, inasmuch summarizing the individual facts of the life of Eveline (the changes that have occurred with people from the his past) and expands the idea of renewal beyond the borders of their individuality: every change, so she, too, must change.

Guns N' Roses November Rain

                                  LETRA

When I look into your eyes
I can see a love restrained
But darling when I hold you
Don't you know I feel the same

'Cause nothing lasts forever
And we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle
In the cold november rain

We've been through this such a long, long time
Just trying to kill the pain, oh yeah

But lovers always come
And lovers always go
An no one's really sure
Who's letting go today walking away

If I could take the time
To lay it on the line
I could rest my head
Just knowing that you were mine, all mine

So if you want to love me
Then darling don't refrain
Or I'll just end up walking
In the cold november rain

Do you need some time, on your own
Do you need some time, all alone
Everybody needs sometime, on their own
Don't you know you need sometime, all alone

I know it's hard to keep an open heart
When even friends seem out to harm you
But if you could heal a broken heart
Wouldn't time be out to charm you

Sometimes I need some time, on my own
Sometimes I need some time, all alone
Everybody needs some time, on their own
Don't you know you need some time, all alone

And when your fears subside
And shadows still remain
I know that you can love me
When there's no one left to blame

So nevermind the darkness
We still can find a way
'Cause nothing lasts forever
Even cold november rain

Don't ya think that you need somebody
Don't ya think that you need someone
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one
You're not the only one

Don't ya think that you need somebody
Don't ya think that you need someone
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one
You're not the only one

Don't ya think that you need somebody
Don't ya think that you need someone
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one
You're not the only one

Don't ya think that you need somebody
Don't ya think that you need someone

O uso do LOL e do OMG

LOL

The recordings, parts of which were published by Folha, show that the ExcelAire pilots had trouble understanding the English spoken by Brazilian air traffic controllers. The plane was flown by Joseph Lepore, 42, and Jan Paladino, 34, both of New York state.

According to the transcript, which Folha translated into Portuguese, the control tower in Sao Jose dos Campos authorized the Legacy before take-off to fly at 37,000 feet but made no mention of other altitudes foreseen in the original flight plan. Apparently unsure of what they heard, the pilots asked three times for clarification without getting a response.
The transcript, which was prepared by the National Transportation Safety Board in Washington, also shows that air traffic controllers in Brasilia mistakenly believed that the Legacy was flying at 36,000   feet.

It’s a waste of time, waste of money”.
